Veterinarian in Chief - Dr. Norikata Yanai

BVSc (Hons), GradCertVetStud (Small Animal), MRCVS

With a passion for both medicine and animals, Dr Nori graduated from The University of Sydney in 2005. As a student, he worked as a veterinary assistant, as well as a farm hand. After graduation, he got accepted into the internship program in small animal clinical sciences at Sydney University Teaching Hospital. This involved working with specialists, providing first opinion general practice service, as well as instructing undergraduate veterinary students. He gained a Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Studies as part of this training in 2008. Dr Nori then decided to relocate to Hong Kong, joining a busy private, veterinary hospital group as a manager, as well as in SPCA learning shelter medicine and during this time was sent to the East Japan Earthquake disaster zone. Having spent the majority of his life outside Japan, and taking advantage of his language skills, he enjoys communicating with his clients in English, Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese. He believes in providing tailored veterinary services to pets, who he considers important members of the family. He has special interest in dentistry. Outside work, he enjoys traveling and scuba diving.
